How do I sign up for Blue Link?

To sign up for Blue Link, create a MyHyundai account or log in to your existing MyHyundai account.

1. Go to owners.hyundaiusa.com Opens in New Window and click REGISTER if you need to create an account.

2. Follow the quick and easy steps on the screen to set up your account. You will need your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to complete enrollment. Download PDF

What Hyundai vehicles are equipped with Blue Link?

Blue Link launched on the 2012 Sonata and is currently available on most 2013 and newer Hyundai models. Vehicles later than 2013 that are not equipped with Blue Link include 2013 - 2017 Accent, 2013 Elantra sedan and 2013 Tucson.

Why do I need to use a credit card to enroll in a Blue Link trial offer?

By signing up for auto-renewal with a credit card, you will ensure continued services after the complementary year trial period comes to an end. Your credit card will be charged at the end of your complimentary trial period. As a courtesy, you will receive a timely reminder before your credit card is charged with the current Blue Link subscription rate.

What is the trial period for Pre-Owned and Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles?

A three-month trial for Connected Care, Remote and Guidance is available when you enroll (credit card required). Please visit your preferred Hyundai dealer for assistance with Blue Link enrollment.

How does Enhanced Roadside Assistance work?

Enhanced Roadside Assistance works in conjunction with your vehicle's Hyundai Assurance 24/7 Roadside Assistance coverage. GPS coordinates for your vehicle will be provided to the Blue Link Customer Care agent when making a Roadside Assistance call from inside the vehicle using the Blue Link button.

Will Blue Link use my cellphone connection?

Blue Link is an embedded system, which means that you will be able to use most of the features without the need to have your cell phone in the car. However, some functions are enhanced with your cell phone through the mobile application like remote features.

I already own a Hyundai. Is it too late to get Blue Link?

Of course not! If your Hyundai is equipped with Blue Link, you can enroll at any time. Simply register or log in on the owner's portal at owners.hyundaiusa.com Opens in New Window , and click to enroll in Blue Link. You'll just need your vehicle VIN (vehicle identification number located on the driver's side dashboard) and a credit card.

What smartphones are compatible with Blue Link?

The following supported devices are compatible with the MyHyundai with Blue Link app: Apple iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 6, 6 Plus; Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+, S8, S8+, S7, S7 Edge, S6, LG V30, Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL.

Your device performance will vary depending on operating software, service carrier and any user modifications (i.e., third-party operating software). Please check back often as the list of supported devices will change based on user demand.

What are the Blue Link packages, and how much do they cost? Do you offer a la carte features?

There are three Blue Link packages: Connected Care, Remote and Guidance. After the trial period is over, each package is available for $99/year. The Connected Care Package comes with a complimentary trial for all new Blue Link-equipped vehicles. Currently, there are no a la carte options available.

Connected Care is a comprehensive safety and car care package that offers peace of mind no matter where you are. Call Center agents are standing by 365 days, 24 hours a day to summon help or provide emergency assistance. The Remote package gives you convenient access to features via the web or smartphone app. You can Remote Start your car, use Remote Climate Control (if equipped), unlock/lock your doors or locate your car when you forget where you parked it. The Guidance Package provides more than just the quickest route to your destination. Destination Search powered by Google is perfect for those looking for new local knowledge.

Why should I purchase additional years of service during my Blue Link enrollment?

Where can I get the Blue Link app?

Blue Link features can be accessed within the MyHyundai app, which can be downloaded directly from the Apple App store Opens in New Window and Google Play Opens in New Window on your mobile device.

How does Stolen Vehicle Recovery work with local police to recover my vehicle?

If your Hyundai vehicle is stolen, file a stolen vehicle report with your local police department immediately. The Blue Link Customer Care agent will need a report number to help police find the location of your vehicle. Once your vehicle is located, local authorities will be dispatched to the scene and if still in motion, the agent will trigger a series of remote commands to ensure the vehicle comes to a complete stop and the engine becomes immobilized to ensure your vehicle is recovered safely.

What smartwatches and Hyundai vehicles are supported by the Blue Link smartwatch app?

The mobile app supports both Apple Watch and Android Wear smartwatches like the Samsung Gear Live, Moto 360, LG G Watch and the LG G R Watch. Additionally, all Blue Link-equipped vehicles are supported by the smartwatch app.

Climate Control

Live in an area with extreme temperatures? Starting your Hyundai's engine, warming or cooling the cabin and turning on the defroster is as easy as a few taps in the app or saying "Alexa, start my car and set the temperature to 75 degrees." The engine will run for up to 10 minutes, or less if you prefer to set a timer.

Remote Door Lock & Unlock

Have you ever sent your friend to the car without a key or forgotten to lock the doors? Don't sweat it. With a simple command and your PIN, you can lock and unlock your Hyundai using your smartphone, smartwatch or even your connected home device. And to be on the safe side, if you unlock the doors but don't open them Blue Link® will auto relock your doors after 30 seconds.

On-Demand Diagnostics and Alerts

To give you peace of mind, you can run a full vehicle diagnostic check directly from your Hyundai's touchscreen. If an issue is found, you can schedule service by simply pressing the Service Link button on the rearview mirror, and the details will be automatically sent to your preferred dealer. We'll also email you monthly reports and reminders when it's time for regular maintenance.

Destination Send-To-Car by Google

If your Hyundai is equipped with navigation, you can use the Blue Link® app or in–car voice commands to search for destinations—like the highest rated Italian restaurant or cheapest gas in the area. Blue Link® then syncs with your navigation system, so your route is ready to go when you are. You can even save a destination for quick access in the future.
